Our focus is on delivering economically viable gas generation projects in a wide range of geographic and political environments. As a small, experienced and focused team we are able to build an economic structure around a base project and to source and develop strategic partners to ensure each project is both structured and supported to provide a successful outcome.
Working with strong local partners we can bring a worldwide experience supported by the latest LNG distribution and production technology to provide strong delivery at both large and small scale gas based power generation.
Maximising value for all stakeholders is at the core of our strategy. Ensuring risk is managed appropriately to ensure an optimum funding structure is critical. Working closely with all local stakeholders to both structure an acceptable operation and to understand and address any local planning and permitting issues as early as possible. In addition we look to engage, collaboratively, with key supply chain partners to allow them to bring early value and learning to a project.
Our philosophy is simple. Gas is a key fuel to support, sustainable, economic growth and can be made available, with an appropriate solution, to all countries across the world.
A focus on ‘can do’; the development of innovative solutions and building, early in the process, a strong and experienced team right across the value chain is key to successful project delivery.
SMALL SCALE LNG VALUE CHAIN
In many of the potential new markets for LNG the geography and/or existing grid infrastructure does not support traditional, large scale, CCGT power generation. To deliver LNG as an economic fuel for power generation in these circumstances it is vital to be able to deliver a solution where, small scale, locally situated, gas based power generation can be delivered.
Understanding the challenge and the potential rewards RGL has invested significant resources in developing a small scale, gas based, generation model utlising a central LNG terminal as a ‘distribution centre’. In conjunction with experienced technical partners and leading suppliers of gas gensets we have developed a ‘hub and spoke’ distribution model that allows, small scale gas generation, in remote locations to both provide new sources of power and to substitute existing, expensive and environmentally damaging, heavy fuel oil based generation.
Our vision is to provide the means to establish innovative gas networks in new and existing markets across the world. To link sources of long term supply with sources of long term demand and to allow gas to be targeted as the ‘fuel of choice’ to support growth and economic stability. Our focus is on emerging markets for gas where power costs are often disproportionately high to income and where existing infrastructure is poor.
Working in conjunction with local initiatives on renewables, the development of these new gas networks can provide a sustainable ‘based load’ of generation to support and complement investments in renewable technologies.
When the Promoters looked back almost a year ago at this business it was clear that ‘Coal Fired Power Plants’ had their days numbered, and Gas would be slowly substituting that fuel, taking also into account that COP 21 was nearing and Policy Makers would slash in Funding Coal to promote a cleaner solution, Gas.
The company strategy therefore was supported on this fundamental fuel shift, also looking at Technology advances in FSU Solutions; “LNG2Power” is the strategy.
We have a falling cost of LNG and a growth in Power consumption, driven by new ‘gas fields’ findings in different geographies as well as ‘Shale Gas’ in US, opening many Worldwide opportunities that will form part of our strategy.
Resero Gas is not an ‘equity player’, it is a well experienced Developer in large power infrastructure projects.
LNG2Power is our strategy meeting energy consumption needs at affordable prices and a basis for base load when integrated with Renewable Projects.
